Kathleen is an expert in motivating others to become the person they truly desire to be in life.

For a large part of Kathleen’s life, she believed that happiness and joy in life depended on all “outside” situations being optimal. At that time, she described “optimal” as having enough money, the right job, a good education, the right partner, the right clothes, the right size…the list goes on. During those years Kathleen lacked confidence in herself, she was afraid of making changes, she was depressed and defeated.

Today, Kathleen lives a spiritual, joyful, content purposeful life. She is a Master’s level Health Care Professional, with Certifications as a Health and Life Coach, and a Mindfulness Practitioner.

Kathleen is a Certified Health and Life Coach and Certified Mindfulness Coach. She has a certification as a Neuro Linguistic Practitioner, with over thirty plus years as a Bachelor’s prepared Registered Nurse. She has a Master’s degree in Health Service Administration. Throughout her career she has worked as a direct patient caregiver, supervisor, director and CEO. She now specializes in intuitive coaching, habit transformation, spiritual consulting, and mindfulness practice. She has known both failure and success at every level. She has been married and divorced and raised 2 children as a single parent. Kathleen has triumphed over many obstacles and finds joy and purpose empowering others to do the same.

Habits for Your Best Life offers sessions for individuals and groups discussing the issue of “empathy fatigue” in healthcare workers and all caregivers. The sessions focus on empathy versus compassion. Kathleen offers guidance in mindfulness practice to combat symptoms of empathy fatigue, that include, but are not limited to: feelings of hopelessness, a decrease in experiences of pleasure, feelings of constant stress and anxiety, sleeplessness and a pervasive negative attitude.

Basic mindfulness practice has been shown to have positive effects on individuals both personally and professionally, including increased productivity, increased ability to focus and the development of feelings of competency and self-confidence.

Every type of individual, with a few common traits. First, a desire to change a part of their life so they can feel more joyful or experience more satisfaction in general. Second, they have come to realize the support of a Coach will guide them to be more focused with quicker results.

As a professional health care worker for 30 plus years, I have met many who struggle to make necessary lifestyle changes after a new diagnosis or a life changing medical event. This frequently leads to feelings of failure and delayed recovery. As a Health Care Coach, I will provide opportunity for the individual to identify barriers to personal success and help them to take the new information and form a daily habit.

Coaching does not look for the root cause. Coaching is articulating and facing the problem and changing the experience of it.

Open: Coaching works best for someone who is open to receiving new information, someone who will attempt to understand a different perspective without automatically dismissing.

Our core values should ideally determine our priorities in life, and they are generally the measures we use to determine if life is heading in the direction we want it to. Life is usually going very well when we feel content and satisfied that the decisions we make and the way in which we act match our values.
